Audio Panels allow for an organized and efficient method for controlling the audio output for onboard receivers and transceivers by letting the flight crew select which radios to listen to and where, like speaker, headset, intercom system, or even exterior hailers in some cases.

Many business jets have audio systems that were custom manufactured specifically for the airframe and avionics configuration, from manufacturers like Gables Engineering, Avtech, and Baker Electronics, (now Honeywell), and Northern Airborne Technologies (NAT) .
