can vary from NEXRAD Data Link radar depiction and lightning detection systems to onboard radar that provide both weather detection as well as SAR (Search And Rescue) functions, due to the nature of the various missions helicopters are being used for.

NEXRAD is usually interfaced to either a MFD (Mulit-Function Display) or a radio system like Garmins GNS-400 & 500 series and now the GTN-600 & 700 series, where onboard radar systems and use either a dedicated radar display or may be displayed on a MFD.
